Allow failed assertions to stop experiment

For assertions that test for serious errors, it'd be nice if a failed test could cause the experiment to stop, with a suitably glaring alert for the user. This could be implemented by adding a "stop_on_fail" parameter to the assertion action, whose value would be false by default.
