Support custom pause and stop screens

The stimulus_display I/O device lets the user
select the color to show on the stimulus display when the
experiment is not running. Some users would like to see this
featured extended so that the display can show additional, distinct
colors
- after the experiment is stopped, and
- when the experiment is paused.
The pause color would override the default (and current) behavior, which is to freeze the stimulus display in its current state until the experiment resumes.
